Malmaisson or Hilton Manchester, Which is best to stay boxing night?

My boyfriend and I are looking to stay in one of these hotels in Manchester on Boxing night.Taking into account the bar in the hotel, location, facilities. We are in our early 20's. What is the bar like in hotel? Will it be busy on Boxing night? What time is it open till? Have you stayed there?

I have stayed at both and the sky bar is fab at the Hilton however facilities wise I would go for the malmaison, I probably prefered that one.

I have stayed at Malmaison and can wholeheartedly recommend their hotels. They are dark and romantic and the rooms are out of this world!

I have stayed at both and whilst the Hilton is a great hotel (fantastic bar on the top floor) the Malmaison is a better/cooler hotel.

Malmaison and Hilton Manchester are both great hotels, but the Hilton has a great bar at the top of the hotel with a seethrough floor and a fantastic view over Manchester so i would go for the Hilton
