for super cheap! about the same price as Travelodge prices?
about £29 if possible

The residence Paris Asnières, quite close to Paris, the Hotel Home Moderne, the Family Residence, and the Residence pacific, are not expensive at all.

You can try the following sites and check if anything you like comes up. But £29 is on the low side for Paris, and even though you may find some budget hotels built along the lines of hotels or dormitories, the neighbourhood's safety should also be considered.

try narrowing down your seach to the 19th/11th/10th quartiers. they are in cheap but decent areas that are nearby other nicer quartiers and have great transport links.

The 19th also has the brand new stchristophers hostel. You can find cheap hotels for the same price as this hostel but the hostel is probably ncier since its so new. and it is very big and has its own restaurant.

It depends on how many people will be with you in this trip. I don't know of any so cheap hotel in Paris. I went once in a formula 1 hotel. It is a chain in the entire France and maybe even Belgium and it was terrible. They are far away from evertyhing. The service is 0 and the one where I went was smelling medicine and was full of dust. I couldn't sleep there.
Cheap hotels in France are usually not recommendable because of the kind of people that are using them.
