How long before my flights do I need to check in?

Flying from glasgow-heathrow, heathrow-madrid, madrid-seville.

No more than two hours. I recently traveled from Glasgow to Heathrow and then Heathrow to Rome - the check-in counters don't even open until two hours prior to our take off. Bon Voyage!

Domestic flights are usually one hour and international two hours. If you're not sure check out the website of the airline you're flying with and they will have check-in information.

It's not so much about check in time. It's more about can you be there by check in time. If you have far to travel to get to the airport in today's traffic it only takes an accident, even by someone else, to cause a considerable delay and late check in means missed flight.
Best to calculate travel time, double it, then add two hours, Its' odd the way time evaporates if you are running late. Bon Voyage/Flight.
