Hi-do any of you good people out there know a cheap way of phoning the UK from Egypt whilst on holiday?

Skype doesn't cover Egypt and we will be wanting to call our UK landline - hopefully without incurring too much expense.

Take a laptop or mobile phone with wifi and get yourself a Draytel account. Then simply call the UK number for 0.6p/min

use the internet (like skype or yahoo or hotmail)...or use land telephone cards like zero card or supercard..it's the cheapest for international calls and the cheapes for mobile phones is etisalat.

i suffered alot in international calls when i used to call my fiancee then (my husband now).

go to your local Vodafone or mobinil phone shop buy a local sim card cost you about £15 and then top it up with 100EP about £12. and make phone calls. the cost is about one 10th of the reverse cost. Texting is very cheap too. Just make sure you take an unlocked phone with you.

Well I used to use phone cards like Menatel, they're pretty cheap and available every where. But then I got tired from talking on the street and decided to use messenger instead! lol :P

Both parties need a computer though with internet..
