I have a weekly tube pass, it is free for me to take buses?

I have a weekly tube pass for zones 1-3. Is it free for me to take the bus? Do i just tap my card the same way i do on the tube?

If you are referring to a travelcard, then yes, you have unlimited use of buses too within Zones 1-3.

You have an oystercard, and so yes you can use it on the bus. All Bus journeys around London are £1-00 a trip with the oystercard. This makes it a very cheap way of travelling.

You can use the bus in most areas further out than zone 3, so often it can be cheaper to catch to bus.

If it's for zones 1-3 then yes, it includes the bus (unless it says underground only).

If you have a weekly travelcard, you can take London buses in zone 1-6, but trains and trams only for zone 1-3.

As previously stated, a weekly Travelcard for ANY zonal combination allows travel on any bus service in London (includes any bus displaying the TfL "roundel.")

In short bus travel is included.

What you have is weekly Travelcard (zones 1 -3) loaded on your Oystercard.
This allows you to travel to make journeys on tube, National Rail, DLR and the Overground within zones 1, 2 and 3. If you want to go on tube beyond zone 3 eg. Harrow-on-the-Hill. Then it have to touch out at Harrow and £1.10 will be deduced from your credit, With National Rail you have to buy an extension ticket.

As for the buses. ANY Travelcard is valid on ALL buses. Irrespective of the zones it's valid for. Another example if you have a Travelcard vaild for zones 2 & 3. You can use it on the buses (but not anything else) in central London.

Appendum:
Since you have a Travelcard with inclusion of at least one of zones 3, 4, 5 or 6. You can use the Croydon Tramlink.

there is no such thing as a tube pass. if you mean a zone 1-3 travel card on oyster then you can use it on the buses, thats why it's called a travel card. and yes you just tap in on the oyster reader.
