I am living in australia but my son is not entitled to an aussie passport?

i am irish and have to travel soon do i have to apply for an irish passport for him? does he go on my passport? how do i apply for an irish one from australia??

If your son isn't eligible for an Australian passport, then you will have to apply for an Irish passport for him.

He may also be eligible for citizenship and a passport of the country of his other parent if that is not Ireland.
