A drive over the Bain´s Kloof is very scenic:

Tulbagh and Wolseley are also lovely little villages in the middle of mountains and winelands

The Slanghoek Valley is also worth a visit on the slopes of the Badsberg Conservation Area

All the mountains passes near Ceres are lovely to drive through: Mitchell´s Pass, Nuwekloof Pass, Bainskloof Pass and the Du Toitskloof Pass.

Hello Party Girl, I have used

    www.where2stay-southafrica.com

in the past. Really useful website with information on the areas to visit and some of the events going on during the year. Lots of accommodation ideas as well. You can make booking enquiries direct with the venue owners through the site.

My suggestion would be to spend a day and night around Cape Town and do the route past Simonstown to Cape Point and back.

Then head to the Stellenbosch region for a day or so which is beautiful.

If you like the look of Stellenbosch then you could also travel across to Robertson which is equally as pretty a region with many wineries.

    Hope this helps a little

There are guest houses and hotels all the way to Ceres. The trip will take you about an hour on the N1 from Cape Town. you could travel there and back easily in a day. But if you can get to Riebeeck Valley, try and stay at a guest house called "Churchills". Its a 5star boutique guest house, and in a beautiful location. You can google it on the internet. The owners are Mr Mrs Symons. Enjoy

This last August I was in Cape Town and stayed at Nine Flowers, which was a nice little B&B that was quaint and I liked it well. I also stayed at 18 on Crox, which I absolutely loved. They are so helpful, nice, the rooms are gorgeous, and the breakfast yummy! Defintely a must if in South Africa.

Hi there, I've did a tour through that parts in April and May. I've traveled by train as part of a community medical service outing.

Here is a link you can check out. It has details on the area. The people are very friendly. Don't hesitate to pop in to some local wineries and farms.
