What are the penalties if someone else uses your rail card and they are caught?

Normally a £20 on the spot fine.

But railcards have photos on them, so it's pretty obvious if the card isn't yours.

National Rail tried to fine me, even though it was the train conductor's mistake. Bah.

They get fined - up to £400 and you lose your rail card.
