Is it safe to travel to tunisia on my own?

im a single mum and was hoping to visit tunisia for a week to meet a guy i meet online, how safe is it and is there anything i should worry about?

well, going to Tunisia by yourself wouldn't be a problem in general
you shouldn't worry about that
but you should worry about these online chats and meets;like in every case and not only Tunisia; i think you'll only lose your money and discover that he's only after obtaining the visa;
i suggest you get back in the summer and spend an awesome time in the nice beachs

tunisia is a safe country to visit if you are wary of every1 and dont take much money with you or any valuables
i sugest you visit tunisia stay within your complex and enjoy all the hotel food drink and entertainments
as for the man

forget him all tunisian men are sleeze bags they just want money and visas
EDIT for tayaa im not stupid enough to fall for these kind of people 99.9% of the time its obvious they are sleezebags i have always traveled with my husband and children i have no intention of traveling alone ever to tunisia as i wouldnt feel safe at all
i love tunisia i have been there 3 times and am going back in april but i wouldnt trust any of the locals living there

it may not be a good idea. I mean have you met him before? You hear all these Internet horror stories. I don't want to mother you but if you haven't met him perhaps it would be a good idea to bring someone with you... I hope you see where I'm coming from!

First off you are being used so that guy can get out of Tunisia. And I'm not shocked that you are a single mom since most women suckered by this scam tend to be single moms, women several time the mans age or morbidly obese.

No you won't be safe since sexual harassment is a huge problem in Tunisia. Even if you are walking around with your father or a little kid, the men still talk like pervs and grab private parts.

people should not judge tunisians. they are all charming and yes most of them are users and want visas ans money ETC. not all of them are like that. My Fiance is tunisian he lives there, he was in animation but not anymore. Just take your time with this man and make sure hes not a player. if he asks u to pay for anything then you know hes a user straight off. Well this is how i tell. My fiance pays for everything. Tunisia is very safe and is a beautiful country. im going there in 2 weeks time and spending 6 weeks there. And i cant wait. I never regreted gettin with my man. It shows some of them are good. and others bad x
