Does anyone know of any work+accomodation in the UK? E.g. outdoor work in exchange for board for 2-3 months?

I have a friend visiting the UK from Australia and is looking for some outdoor work in exchange for board and accommodation for about 2-3 months. Any UK schemes, websites etc anyone knows of?

The problem with the UK is that we don't have an awful lot of outdoor work available for travellers. We don't have many fruit farms and cattle ranches you might find elsewhere in Europe/America etc. There might be some manual labour work, but it'd be limited, especially at this time of year.

I have however found this website which seems to have information about Australians on a working holiday to the UK, with info on jobs available and accommodation and such :)
