Fun places to visit in Chester?

Going there tomorrow, but I don't really want to spend the time shopping. Looking for something maybe historically connected or just something cheap. I'm a student btw and going with this guy i'm seeing

Hi try the Enjoy England website, for attractions to visit around Chester.

With over 2000 thousand years of history, Chester is one of Europe's top heritage cities. Some nice things to do/ visit: the Roman Amphitheatre, City Walls, a boat trip along the River Dee, a History Hunter Tour of the main historical sites, Eastgate Clock and Chester Cathedral:

There are loads of Roman museums and a really good one is the Dewa museum. Also, there are walks by the river and a cathedral that's spectacular. Also, there are some great restaurants like Picalinos.

Chester zoo or the Blue planet aquarium are always fun but not exactly cheap.
