How would you market and sell holidays and flights?

My new job is being self employed and have to market and sell holidays/flights. How would you do this?

I would start with places to which I personally have been. Provide your own insight as a value-add, include pictures, stories, etc. from your travels. Most companies who sell travel get better rates based on volume. If you can't compete on price alone, you need to find something else you can add and personal experience is likely to be the easiest when starting out.
