If you have a good job there, it would would be completely foolish to move here, at present. Hardly anyone is hiring, they are cutting hours. Best you can hope for is a part time job...and dont count on it lasting long. You'd be the first to go, should they cut back even more.
Unemployment even went up more this last month again.
People are in fear of losing their jobs as there isnt anywhere to work, if you do. Plus employers know this and are taking advantage.
Im doing what was 2 peoples jobs. Im so utterly exhausted all the time now. We have the same exact problems as you do in the UK.
Fleecing of the middle class. Immigration problems. Weather catastrophe's and those incurable viruses.

My one friend has Masters degree and he got a part time job at Wendy's hamburgers. Lots of people have been w/o a job for well over a year now. This started getting bad last year..and its not improving at all. Half million people lost their homes in the last quarter. the most ever.

This is whats happening

unemployment is so bad here so if you have a job stay there. my sister has been out of work now for 15 months now and where i work we have people coming in daily looking for work, it is really bad here people losing their homes, jobs and becoming homeless. rethink this

The first thing you must do is contact the American Embassy for the current legislation. If you want to live there permanently you can do it in one of three ways - marry an American citizen, invest minimum £100,000 in an American business, get sponsored by an American employer in a job that the US Government have designated as ‘preferred employment’. As a UK citizen you cannot compete in the Green Card Lottery Scheme. Other than these, you can get a visa for 90 days at a time but you must then return to the UK for a set period of time, before you can return. The Embassy is your first port of call though; they will be able to give you the up-to-date legislation. 'Phone them and make an appointment to speak to them.
