Portugal Question (asked again) need immediate answers?

Hi! I asked this question earlier but not many people answered (and i need some answers asap lol) so here it is again...
I am a 18 year old African American female that is planning to study abroad in Portugal. I know that there is no place in the world where racism does not exist, however, I would like to know if overall I will be ok:)
And also on the dating scene *wink* (are they aggressive or more mellow when attracting a lady) do Portuguese men like african american women?
Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.

Im a 20year old Irish female and am just back from living in Portugal for the last 4months..i don't know what part you are going to,i was in the Algarve and loved every minute of it..Portugal has a great mix of races so im sure you will be more than ok!! on the dating scene from my own experience they are very forward and much more open than irish guys anyway..i found them to be very romantic! however they don't seem to be as committed in relationships..i lived with 3Portuguese guys and we used to talk about this, they seem to cheat a lot more than english and irish guys but they are GORGEOUS so have fun!!!!

hope you really enjoy your time there..if i can be of any other help feel free to mail me

We have a long history with Africa since we discovered most of it in the 1400's (especially near the coast) and we have good relations still. 4 countries in africa speak Portuguese as an official language, we also had a few problems. Most Portuguese people are good in accepting other cultures, races and religion but they don't like if you take it too far and try to change theirs, they like foreightners that learn some of custumes or language. You souldn't have any problems. Dating, some times is better if you are from another country, makes it more interesting for the guy.
One advice, go with an open mind and I'm sure you will have fun.
    Good Luck.

I'm portuguese so I can give you a good answer.
In big cities like Lisbon racism isn't much of a problem and people are used to see couples with mixed cultures, so you'll be fine :)
