Normally wi-fi available on cross country trains but it could be a bit unrelaible dur to tunnels and long bridges etc.

First class is identified either by a yellow stripe just below the roof line or by a label near the door. If the train is destined for a large city then they try and make the first class coach at the front end but this is not guaranteed these days.

There will be a buffet but whether it's open depends on the ability of the catering staff to fill it and man it. The train companies run everything very tight so if someone is off sick there may not be anybody to run the on board bar. Normally they are quite good, but not cheap.
