Got serious problems with Peugeot 206, please advise?

I got bad idle and engine missing which is worst when engine is cold and very poor fuel consumption 15mpg a gallon on Peugeot 206 1.4 Petrol, what are are the possible reasons and which one is most likely in such cases?

threre is no engine management light on and also i have just got the full service with new spark plugs, oil and filters etc.

could be the computer or just bad spark plugs.

    Make sure that the engine management light comes on and then goes off on startup - it could be a blown bulb if it stays off.
    Also, there may be some faults stored in the ECU even without the light coming on - you could find someone with a reader to check and clear these.
    Carefully check around the engine bay for leaks into the inlet hose, look for loose pipes, hose clips and listen for hissing sounds with the engine running.

    I got a 206 1.4 petrol and get between 35-50mpg

    I read somewhere on one of the forums that if the timing belt was fitted 1 click out the engine behaves as you say, so if you have had any work done on the timing belt then worth getting it checked.

    There are many mant possible reasons for that. If the engine management light is not on it is likely to be the plug/leads or coil pack. If the light is comng on the crankshaft sensor could be suspect
