Help my dog is lethargic, wont eat, vomiting and not really moving/walking much!!! Please help!!!!!?

Ace is a Chihuahua who is almost 3 years old. He was fine yesterday, but today I went to go bring him out to go potty and he would not get up and walk. He is not laying in his bed just sleeping, we put food and water down for him and he will not eat! He started vomiting clear liquid. I would bring him to the vet, but the vet is booked. They have told me just to keep an eye on him! We brought him outside a little while ago and he walked a little bit, but his back legs were a little stiff, and he is clenching his teeth and holding his breath! Someone please help me I just want to know what is going on with him. Please Thanks

Geez. Look - if one of your family members suddenly pulled a 180 and wouldn't eat and layed around vomiting, would you 'wait it out'? I hope not!

Get your dog to a VET, ANY vet. Doesn't have to be your vet. If your dog's body is seizing up and he is vomiting, he most likely has been POISONED by something and needs immediate medical attention.

Get off the computer and drive to a vet immediately!!

Call another vet. This is an emergency, and the whole "we're booked" thing is not an option, IMHO. He's in pain, vomiting, and lethargic. These can be signs of poisoning, pancreatitis, or other acute problems.

Chihuahuas are small and do not have much in the way of energy reserves. They can get low blood sugar and dehydrated far too easily.

this is so totally outrageous that you would be told such a thing
    they are booked! ... what
it is not like you wanted to bring your dog in to have his nails trimmed

this is an emergency! especially for such a small dog

you either call another vet or you call your vet back and tell them that this is an emergency and your dog needs to be seen
demand to speak with your vet .. tell them to put your vet on the phone

"Booked" or not, get your dog and go to the vet. I am thinking (?) you did not explain how serious this is?

Go NOW. Sit in the waiting room until they can fit you in.

Do not leave until your dog has seen a vet.

This is SERIOUS and your dog is not going to survive without treatment.

he might have parvo! it is really serious and can kill a dog quickly! my husband had a dog die of parvo and he said it was terrible. what you're saying about how he is acting sounds like some of the symptoms of parvo so i would get him to any vet ASAP! hope he gets better!!

if the dog has been like that for 24 hours it will loose a lot of fluid. And this could be dangrous as your dog is so small. Food isn't so importent but it needs water. Contact another vet.

    Good luck x
