Why my Sims 3 turns itself off?

Question

Every time I go to build or buy it turns itself off. (Note, my comp does not shut down) Maybe I should re-instal the game?

Additional Details

I've been playing it for over 6 months and had no problems, but after updating the game 3 weeks ago this problem started...

are you playing it on a laptop or pc?
if it a pc i have no idea
if its a laptop the game needs specific requirements
i tried to get the game for my vista laptop, but i got told to try the online demo games 1st.
if the demo's don't work then the game won't work properly

try going on the website below and see if it works, if there's even one glitch then the proper game you have won't work on your laptop:

I recommend taking it back to the store you bought it from or looking at eagames online help forums or hotline for some professional advice.
