Holiday abroad first time with 10 month old?

We are looking to go abroad beginning of Dec, our little boy will be 10 months old, we are thinking Egypt but am unsure of what the weather will be like, can anyone advise any alternatives with a similar flight time (about 7 hours, flying from Manchester) and some sunshine, but not too hot for the little one. Have had a really tough year and we really need a break! Also could anyone recommend some family friendly hotels in Sharm.
Thanks for any help given Joanne

I would not go to Egypt. The dust will be a problem for your child.

How about Paphos in Cyprus. It's child friendly but has plenty to do even in December. Prices do go up in the Christmas break but not as bad as, for instance, Spain.

I admit I'm biased as live in Cyprus but worth a thought.

Thank you for taking the time to answer - we had considered Cyprus, think we will try there instead.
