After the events of 9/11 , what 'security measures' were adopted and deployed at Airports across the globe ?

which ones were eventualy discarded or modified further ?

which ones are still in place ?

what wasn't being done 'security measure' wise, at airports PRIOR to the terrorist attacks of 9/11 ?

And do you still think the security at airports is a little primitave and lax ? could it be MUCH MUCH more better ? if so how ?

what would you like to see , implemented in security measures in airports to make air commuting safer and more efficient ?

If I remember rightly, immediately after 911 there was a total ban on hand luggage, This was lifted fairly quickly.
There is still a worldwide limit on liquids in hand luggage, which is fairly rigorously enforced.
Prior to 911 security was pretty much a cursory check, nobody really thought about hijackers destroying planes or suicide bombers
The thing that bugs me about the security is the lack of consistency.
Laptops in bags / out of bags.
Shoes on / shoes off.
Two days after 911 I flew out of LGW and had to pack nearly all hand luggage in hold bag, seven days later I flew back from the Greek islands with only a nod to security.
I've flown to countries where they seem more concerned about meat products than explosives.
I can't take a metal nail file on a plane but sit in business class where they give me steel cutlery.

They only way to make flying 100% safe is to ban all flights.

Sorry my pet bug bear, travelling used to be fun.....
