Most airports allow you to carry food onto airplanes. If you are carrying it to the airport you may have problems getting liquids into security. This includes yogurt, soups, hummus, peanut butter and jelly. If you purchase the food at the airport, INSIDE security most airlines allow you to carry food with out a problem. If you are carrying food to bring it from home to another country there are issues in most countries and you will find that each has foods that they do not allow to be brought in. You can check with your airline, usually they know what is allowed to be carried.
