Booking a holiday in 2 days and need to know...?

I'm 18 and my 2 friends are 17. We're booking a holiday on Saturday for next year, when we will all be 18 as its an 18+ holiday only.

The holiday is going under my name obviously as I'm the only 18 year old..What documents do we need to take to the travel agents with us? We're booking it with Thomson if thta means anythng. Thanks.

You very likely don't need anything for booking (except money.) The tour operator, travel agent, and airline surely would not mind your not being able to go when they already have your money. And you'll have to book it with all three names, not just yours.

you should probably call them and ask, but you'll definatly need your passports if you're leaving the US or at least photo IDs if you're not... depending where you're going you might also need other important documents like imunisation records, but it depends on where you're going really...

I am assuming you are in the UK. You will not need any documents at the travel agent in order to book the holiday. You will need to be able to give the names of your travel companions to the agent as their names appear on their passports. I know that sounds daft but I have heard of instances where people book "John Smith" on the holiday and problems arise when his passport turns out to be on the name of Jonathan Smith. Small difference but important.

Depending on where you are travelling to you may have to provide passport details of all of your party prior to travel. This is usually OK when you pay the balance. Spain and the USA spring to mind as destinations which require you to provide this information prior to travel. Your agent will be able to advise you.

You will of course need to pay a deposit when you book. My advice is to get the money from your mates before you book. Don't be left holding the debt if one or more has a change of heart.

Hope you have a great time

You would be best or you all to take a valid passports, and some other form of id to prove your home address, this could be a bank statement or a driving licences. Good point about the deposit money.

I dont think you need to take any documents to the travel agents, they will be happy just to take the deposit, although if you are paying by card they need proof of identity and address I think, Provisional or Drivers Licence is fine.
