New fan belt fitted this year but now it constantly squeals and has slipped off 4 times, anyone know how 2 fix?

the belt tensioner is bad and needs replaced along with another new belt as once a belt comes off it's stretched.

Firstly was it the correct belt? Second, is it tensioned properly? Automatic tensioners fail and need replacing. Manual tensioning is achieved by swinging the alternator on its mounts until 15mm of deflection is present. If the alternator has been removed and refitted check that the pulleys are in line with a straight edge. A wrong or incorrectly mounted alternator with the pulley out of line will throw off belts as fast as they can be fitted.

the belt tension er is getting stuck that's why is squealing. also the belt slipped because, when the belt tension er gets stuck the whole belt gets loose

you need to replace your belt tensioner, if you don't have that then you need to get a smaller belt. the squealing is from the belt being to lose.

it's either the wrong belt or it has been wrongly fitted sounds like it is too long or you have missed out a pulley
