What is the pKa for each acid in a series? And what is the pKb? How many of them exist as zwitterions in solution? Is there any correlation between any of these numbers and the distance between the NH2 and COOH groups?

The numbers for pKa and pKb are probably tabulated for many common amino acids - try the CRC Handbook. Then it's just a case of looking for trends.

If you need an experimental investigation, can you measure the pKa or something, and see how reliable your method is compared with literature methods?
