Im an exchange student in the uk. do i need an additional visa to travel to Paris, France for 3 days?

im currently an exchange student in Glasgow, Scotland and booked a flight & hotel to Paris, France.. I currently have a guest student visa.
Do i need an additional Visa for the three days in paris?? if so i heard it takes 14 days, can you pay extra for a faster process?

Are you an US resident?

If you are a US resident on a student/visitors visa (which means you cannot and are not working) than you may travel freely within the European Union without a separate visa.

I guess you need a Schengen visa, from the French Embassy. You can apply in person, or use an agency to do it for you.

Yes.

The UK is not a signatory to the Schengen agreement so your UK visa covers only the UK.

You need to contact the French Embassy and apply ASAP. The Embassy will be able to tell you if there is an expedition process.

I'm assuming you are a US passport holder?

Phone the US Embassy or Consulate nearest you, they should be able to guide you.
