Reallistically, how much money does a young couple need to emigrate from uk to spain.?

My fiance and i are currently stuck in a bit of a rut, I haven't got a job and am having trouble getting one, he has a full time job but with poor pay. We have recently been looking into the idea of moving to spain finding jobs their and settling. Neither of us know how to go about it and would love some advice.

Things are not going to be much different in Spain. They are having a hard time too and to be quite honest unless you speak the language you are going to be at a real disadvantage. Without knowing what you are both qualified to do its really hard to offer any advice.
You wont qualify for any spanish or uk government help at all to start with so you have to have enough cash for rent and living expenses for as long as it takes to find work. Most of the work that would be available would be in the tourist industry so you are probably looking at jobs like package holiday reps or working with companies like eurocamp. Club Med is another one but they will almost certainly want more than one language. Forget construction or shops or restaurant work (unless you can find a UK organisation who particluarly wants to hire Brits. There are a lot of unemployed Spaniards too.

Myself and my Girlfriend were in exactly the same situation 5 years ago - we moved to Spain and have been here ever since.
In my opinion to make a go of things successfully inSpain you need at least 1 of the following things : Sufficient savings to live on for a minimum of 12 Months ( Assume that either of you will not be able to get a job before that time ) ; A profession or qualification that can easily be transferable or useable in Spain ( Like an Electrician, Dentist etc.. ) ; Good Language Skills ( Spanish would be good , if you can speak German or French aswell that would be even better ) ; a Support Network ( Will you have freinds or family living close by ? )
