Neighbours Soap how bad is it !?

Question

Me and my mum always sit down to watch neighbours. it wasn't until the other day i realised how bad it actually was, the acting is terrible.
does anyone else enjoy watching it ?

yea i'm kind of hooked to it!
it is just part of my routine to sit down and watch neighbours followed by home and away!
i love them!
yea the acting in neighbours can be a bit off at times but believe me its a million times better than some other soaps on telly and especially some of the irish ones we have produced!
home and away and neighbours are huge hits here in ireland absolutely every teenage girl watches either of them!

It is not terrible - it is my favourite soap and I only watch two soaps. It always takes me back to when I was young.

I haven't watched it for years, but wasn't the acting always terrible on Neighbours?
For some reason Australian soaps are just awful - Home And Away, Out Of The Blue, Prisoner Cell Block-H, Sons and Daughters etc etc...
I think that's part of their charm...

Do you remember the adverts for P.G.Tips tea with the chimpanzees that looked as if they were talking ...?

They achieved this by smearing dollops of peanut butter on the roof of the chimps mouths.

Inadvertently, the people responsible for this opened the way for soap operas such as, Neighbours, Home & Away, Doctors, and my personal favourite soap to hate, Hollyoaks to appear on our screens.

The cast of all these soaps have no formal training in acting. They do however have vast quantities of peanut butter on set and some of the best voice over people in the world.

I have watched Neighbours for years and always loved it. I think it would be better if they got rid of some characters like Zeke and Sunny. They are just awful.

Neighbours is one of my fave soaps. The acting isn't that bad but yes, it can be a tad unrealistic.

I would try home and away as it is more modern and there is a beach meaning lots of lovely characters e.g Todd Lasance!!!

The acting is a bit of a joke,and it's so cheesy as well at times.

Why do they feel the need to sing all the time?.It's either 'Unforgettable" or "We are the boys from Erinsborough" which they sung at someone's funeral recently.

I used to be stuck to this show, but although it's still on, I'm far more into cooking supper these days!

It's just gone so totally boring, all the good families have gone and frankly it's more like watching a kids show these days. Susan looks more haggard by the day, and Carl .... well how he manages to have specialised in every area of medicine, I just don't know. He must be BRILLIANT!! Never mind the acting, the whole programme has just gone down the tubes totally.

Rubbish, but there's a lot of that going around in UK soaps these days.
