What is the best car for motorway miles under insurance group 11?

My son is 19 and regularly drives from the North to London, he currently has a Honda Civic but its not a good ride on the motorway (suspension's too firm). So I want to exchange this car for a better motorway car as long as its under insurance group 11/12.

Please no stupid answers like get the train or fly.

For auto insurance the quickest method to get a free quote is do a auto policy comparison. If you choose the same coverage amounts, you can get an fast quote to compare against others. Use the same coverage area, auto make and model, mileage and driving history to ensure you get accurate comparison. To get easy auto quotes, go to http://www.autoadvicetips.com/Auto-Insur… and you can compare all the major auto insurance companies.

Most smaller cars are poor on ride quality. The Vauxhall Astra is very good in this respect. The Skoda Fabia is also a good ride, but may fail to please some in other respects easily detected on a test drive. The VW polo is another possible, but I have not driven a later one. The Vauxhall Vectra 2.2i 16v Design is a repmobile par excellence designed for exactly the duty you mention and is group10. Avoid the diesels. I have left out certain other cars which may seem an obvious possibility to some; but I have also considered reliability statistics.

good motorway cars for comfort are executive type cars and i don't think you'll get one that's under group 12.

maybe an old base model saab 9000/95 or 900/93.
