Can anyone recommend a nice hotel in San Diego for New Years Eve?

Plus any other info on things to do there on New Years Eve?

I am coming from the UK this year and spending the evening there with my partner.

Any help much appreciated!!

Stay at one of the resort hotels on Mission Bay.

BTW Stay away from Manchester Hotels (Grand Hyatt, Grand Del Mar Resort). They are being boycotted by the gay and lesbian community.

The Westgate Hotel, is a luxurious 5 star hotel where the staff are extremely helpful, the room is quiet, and a chance to have a great experience on new years eve. This is the address

    1055 2nd Ave
San Diego, CA 92101, United States

You'll find lots of things to do on New Years Eve in San Diego....depending on your interests (and your budget). I'd take a look at the hotels listed on this site: http://www.sandiego-romantics.com/san-di…

Hotel Del Coronado is an historic, gorgeous resort located on Coronado right on the beach. It's a large upscale sesort that will be hosting New Year's Events. I always love Pacific Terrace located on the beach in Pacific Beach. This is a small boutique hotel with most rooms looking out over the ocean. They would probably not be having a big party.

I've heard lots of great things about Tower 23, also located on the beach in Pacific Beach. They have a popular nightclub.

The Gaslamp Quarter in downtown San Diego has lots of nightclubs and hotels that will be having New Years Events. You can even take a bay cruise and ring in the New Year from a boat.

The Town and Country Resort and Spa is where I stayed a couple of weeks ago...the grounds are beautiful, covered with rose bushes, palm trees and tropical greenery. The staff was fun and friendly, the restaurants were good and on the weekends they have entertainment, everything from bands playing Beach Boys music to Mariachi bands. Get a "Garden Room", they are much more secluded and quiet than the towers, more romantic. The Bella Tosca Spa is right on the property, you and your partner can book a "couples" spa treatment or massage before the New Years festivities. I enjoyed my 10 days there very much.
