Can anyone recommend a good hotel near the SECC in Glasgow?

The SECC has two onside hotels. The Crowne Plaza (5 star) and the City Inn (3 star). If you are looking for cheap, the best of the two would be the City Inn.

All these hotels are nice and reasonably priced near SECC. Crown Plaza is little more expensive.

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

There is a pretty Guest House in a Victorian neighbourhood near the SECC. It's called the 'Alamo Guest House' , 46 Gray Street, Glasgow. It's more individual if that's your taste. If you do a search you'll see the photos and this may appeal more than a chain hotel. They would tell you how long it takes to walk through to the concert Hall etc. However if you leave the SECC late at night you might prefer just to stay on site for convenience.
