Vegas - Which Hotel?

Hi Guys

Just about to book and we have a choice of two hotels, The MGM Grand or Mandalay Bay. Which is the best one to go for and why?

I stayed at the Mandalay Bay in July but I haven't stayed at the MGM although I have heard good things.

Mandalay Bay is a GREAT hotel, VERY luxurious, great pools, rooms are amazing and the pool facilities are unbelievable.

The only things I didn't like about the Mandalay Bay is that it is a long walk from the centre of the strip which can get pretty annoying. Also, the crowd is generally an older crowd and a lot of families (probably due to the great pools). Not sure how old you are so this may suit you but for us it didn't.

If you are after luxury at a reasonable price, don't mind a bit of a walk and don't mind lots of kids and an older crowd the Mandalay Bay is awesome. Like i said, i've never stayed at the MGM.

OH thats a hard one I stayed at both and I loved them both but If I had to choose one I would pick MGM Grand the food there was great the view and the rooms were beautiful plus you can go out and party it up on the strip and your hotel wont be that far away lol .

But any choice you make im sure you will have a great time.Have fun

MGM Grand is nice and the rooms are beautiful. Mandalay Bay is also has nice rooms. Both are south of the strip. If you are on a budget, go with MGM Grand. If money is not an issue, go with Mandalay Bay. Book both hotels using discount promotion codes to get good deals and some of the hotel freebies. Here are a few codes.

I love Mandalay Bay casino compared to MGM which is long and spread out. Mandalay Bay is connected by a free tram or a :hallway" to Luxor and then Excalibur. The MGM stands alone.

Mandalay Bay Is much nicer.
Women love it. Every room contains a large soaking tub and amenities.

The lines to check in at the MGM are unbelievable. I will never stay there again

Both hotels are fine but I prefer MGM Grand because it is closer to the other hotels. I recommend to check http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com for the latest promo codes of these and other Las Vegas hotels, this can save money.

Mandalay Bay. MGM is too... Grand. Mandalay Bay has nice clubs, good restaurants, and an awesome wave pool.

Mandalay is a nice hotel but at the very start of the strip, long walk to other hotels or pricey taxis, MGM a bit nearer but a great hotel. I would however choose Planet Hollywood over both of them.
