Hotels! Royal Park albatros Tenerife?

I am going to stay there the last week in May with my partner and our two kids aged 2 & 6, I've had mixed reviews from Travel Advisor.
Can anyone tell me what it's like at the resort, apartments, is there entertainment, playgrounds, much noise, would the plane noise be worse than a noisy pub? Etc...

I note that your question has not been answered I hope this will help a little, mixed reviews in Travel Adviser is not all bad it just means that you can't please everybody all the time.

The area you are going to is a purpose built resort area much of this was still under construction when I left Tenerife, its well away from night club areas which mainly centre on the Veronicas area of Playa de las Americas so night time noise shouldn't be a problem.

Aircraft, you will be on the western approach to the southern airport.
I lived in that area in 2003 and at that time the busy days where Tuesday and Friday, the prevailing winds on the island mean that most of the time over flights will be of aircraft landing thereby reducing the noise levels considerably, if they take off in your direction aircraft climb steeply and then level out and reduce power for noise abatement purposes, there were reduced aircraft movements between midnight and six am.

Hope that you enjoy your break.
