Heading to rome for 4 days in december, as its off peak season , looking for reasonable priced accomadation, only 2 requirements, close to the vaticanm ( 5 -10 min walk) and flexible on this free wifi, more about finding good hotel Or b&b close to vatican.

What dates and what do you consider "reasonable"? Prices on accomodations here in Italy can vary a lot depending on exactly what's going on when you're here.

In any event, you might try someplace like the Arcangelo which is close to the Vatican and has wireless (not necessarily free - most places with wireless are not free). http://www.venere.com/hotels/rome/hotel-…

You can use the same Venere site to search for other options on your travel dates - it has over 600 hotels in rome alone. You can pick a particular area of the city like the Vatican and sort by price or rating by past guests. http://www.venere.com/italy/rome/
