Excursion hol in Egypt, what company should i use to book to see the pyramids etc? any reccommendations?

I am looking to book a hotel in Sharm, but worried that its going to cost too much to travel from there to see the pyramids, sphinx etc.

can anyone reccommend a company to use? that isnt over priced?! the cheapest i've found is a plane ride out there from sharm to luxor for £150, is this a normal price?

Hello

Good Morning from the Sunny Sharm El-Sheikh

My name is Waleed and i am working as Holiday Rep looking after the British Holiday makers in Sharm El-Sheikh

Regarding a Hotel Company you can check any of the 1st and 2nd websites in the Sources to have a better idea and the best prices for Hotel in Sharm

But regarding Excursions i can surely recommend the 3rd Website in the sources it is one of the Registered companies in the UK and as well in Egypt and their handling agent it is MTS which is one of the top handling agents in Egypt so sure you will be secured and insured

Their price to Luxor and cairo from sharm about 159 English but this will be including every thing like flight food guides lunch and breakfast box

Have a look and let us know about your experience

Hi, Both the Sphynx and the Pyramids are in Giza, Cairo. You will be better off booking from Sharm. You can travel cheaper by bus but it is a long day, approx 6 hours each way. The flight time is about an hour but of course you have to add on time at both airports. If you arrange a guided tour make sure it includes the Pyramids and Sphynx at Giza, the step Pyramids at Saqqara (not to far from Giza and oldest pyramids) and the Museum. At the Museum there is a Great King Tut display including the famous mask (included in the entrance fee) and a Mummy room which costs another £10 but well worth it in my opinion. Also check that all entrance fees are included. If you have the time and money I would opt for an overnight stop in Cairo. Barter in Naama bay and you could get a good price, hotel reps are usually at the top end,
Enjoy your trip and don't forget to try a dive whilst in Sharm. Even the snorkeling is good just make sure your hotel is on the beach and either side of Naama bay not in the center,
Luxor by the way is where the valley of the Kings and Queens are and miles away SW of Sharm, totally wrong direction for Cairo.
    Cheers
    Pete

    Pyramids are in Cairo
Luxor is far away from Cairo
Both are far from Sharm. £150 by plane to Luxor is normal. If you like to go to visit Cairo and the famous great Pyramids, you can do it cheaper by bus in one day excursion. This one is available in Sharm and will be cheaper, just check with your hotel reception or check the companies desks when you arrive.
