Boozy Weekend in Dublin?

I'm planning on having a long weekend in Dublin for my 18th birthday, it's not untill August 2010 but wanted to book early to get it cheaper.
Wanted to know if anyone knows of any clean, cheap hotels in Dublin (within clubbing distance) ?
And also what's Dublin like for a night out?
Are there any other cities in ireland that are better?

I stayed at Blooms Hotel in Temple Bar area. It is in the heart of the city, walking distance to bars, clubs and restaurants. The bus stop was right on the main street. Night out was great. if you into starbucks, there's one right around the corner of the hotel so you feel right at home. A lot of restaurants and places to go clubbing and endless bars around the hotel area.

The room I stayed was modest but clean and the staff were friendly. It is located right next to a club so music can go through the night. Breakfast was included. Address 3-6 Anglesea St, Dublin, DUBLIN 2, Ireland www.blooms.ie

Dublin is your best bet if you like city area. The rest of Ireland offers more scenic views which are beautiful if you like it.
