Blackpool illuminations Christmas?

Question

like ive heard that they are turned off next month but i always thought that they were Christmas lights, im meant ot be going in December, will it be busy, we are going for a week-end for the pleasure beach, and whats the winter weather normally like? like cold or rainy? And how busy will the PB be? we will go on a Sunday. And are there any Christmas lights that will be on? Also has anyone stayed in the premier lodge/inn? whats it like at the on in Blackpool, we were gonna stay in the Big Blue hotel but its pretty expensive for my mum and her friend and me and my friends to have seperate rooms, we stayed in pontins last time which was nice, shame about the demoliton :/


and last question... whats the ''Christman tree ball''?

They switch off on the 8th November.

You'll have to check the forecast as to whether it will rain or not, but it will definitely be icy cold, given that it'll be the middle of winter, not to mention the fact that it's right on the seafront.

Shouldn't be terribly busy as it'll be cold, but you're likely to get a lot of locals just going for a fun day out. Get there early. The only times I've ever been there and it's not been busy is during the week when all the kids are at school.

And I have no idea what the hotel there is like, given that I only live 45 minutes away and have never needed to stay over.

yeah i went a couple of months ago and it wasnt too busy and that was in the 6 weeks holiday, there was like no one there :)

As far as I am aware the lights finish at the end of October. The town will have just the normal Christmas lights any town has.

The weather will more than likely cold,wet and windy.

no, they aren't Christmas lights ... the illuminations were originally started to extend the tourist season past the usual summer months
