Is it worth buying used Rover car now as Rover is insolvent. Will it be difficult to service and repair?

I am planning to buy Rover 200. Will it be difficult to get it serviced and repaired as Rover is insolvent and there are no dealers in UK?

Service and repair are straightforward - parts are still available through xpart (http://www.xpart.com/ ) and they also list suitable repair agents (although any decent garage can service them).

The K-series petrol engines can suffer head gasket / overheating problems. The L-series diesels are very reliable from my experience.
Look out for corrosion where the tailgate hinges are welded to the body.

Buy only buy if its cheap and check to see if its had a head gasket all the K series engines suffer from head gasket failure sooner or later

No problem - loads of spares still around and you do not need a dealer to service what is a very simple straightforward car

I wouldnt touch it m8 head gaskets always blow on rovers
