I visit a lot, off the IOM ferry going south to visit family. I always book the overnight coach so I get some time in Liverpool.
Loads of favourite places...Sefton Park, the Palmhouse, Albert Docks, World Museum, Liverpool1 turned out good, Anglican Cathedral and see the view from the top, lovely old Georgian buildings in the streets around there and round Falkener Square and I sometimes stay in the Embassy hostel there.
Liverpool is a great place to visit.
Coming back the coach journey is timed to give me a night in Concert Square and Mathew Street at the weekend and I sometimes have a drink at the docks for a change.
Great nightlife, big fun, and a good place to be.
Good places to visit around there too...The Wirral, Southport, Ormskirk, Golf Coast....
I had a trip to Ormskirk last time because I had a saveaway ticket and some evening time to take up.
I called into The Railway pub just above the train line over the bridge...great time!
Good gig on with a Beatles tribute band, real good. Old oak-beamed pub, good atmosphere...and a good crowd in too.
Last train back to Liverpool ...you can see the platform from the pub, handy...another hour enjoying the sights and then onto the coach to the south, good night out.
Try this lot! Haha, lovely all round Mersyside
