Why would England, Scotland or Wales survive as separate countries?

The idea of how splitting this country up into four is a good thing has always passed me by, so, I have three questions at three different sects of people:

@ any pro-independence English nationalists: Why would England survive?

@ any pro-independence Scottish nationalists: Why would Scotland survive?

@ any pro-independence Welsh nationalists: Why would Wales survive?

--------------------------------------…

I do have three request however:

1) Please be unbiased and don't just ignore any evidence that contradicts your opinion simply for the sake of it.

2) Please explain why one of the countries WOULD survive, not why any of the OTHER of the countries WOULDN'T survive, unless they have got a gross misinterpretation of facts.

3) Sources or facts would help, even if you don't have a link or can't remember it, don't worry, just say where you heard it

    I'm Scottish.

England would be fine, England has the most people and the most industry England would still be power full without the rest of the UK.

Scotland I think would be fine, Denmark is the same size as Scotland with similar mineral wealth and they are fine.

Wales is small but there are smaller countries that are fine like Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Andorra etc

all three regions would survive ok , it may be a struggle at first for Scotland and Wales . which brings us to Northern Ireland.the Ulster men want to remain a part of the UK and will fight tooth and nail to prevent being sold down the river to Southern Ireland,or are the Ulster men to be taken under England's wing, ?you forgot to mention them,or do you think they should be taken over by Southern Ireland?
no matter, if all 4 regions looked after their own affairs and finances, they would survive within a United Kingdom as in the United States of America. all 4 regions would have to agree on certain policies mutually for this to work as a United Kingdom

Scotland is more than able to sustain its economy ok so there is the oil and whisky revenues oil alone in duty going into westminster coffers amounts to £91billion pa in whisky in one warehouse in the county of banffshire there is enough value in the duty to pay off the UK national debt Scotland has around the same population as Denmark with considerably more resources which if it had not been for westminster spending over the last 30 years the whole of the UK would have been better off , all three countries are quite able to prosper on their own without the cumbersome over staffed government ministries full of pinstripes and bowler hatted politically correct shyster's

I have been a strong supporter of Scottish independence.
That is as long as there is no more money from the English taxpayers going up North to prop them up!
I notice from Scottish contributors that they acknowledge that they cannot survive from revenue raised within the borders of Scotland but will have to rely on the French,Dutch,Polish and Italian taxpayers.
So the burden shifts away from the shoulders of the English taxpayer onto other European countries.
I see that those Scottish Nationalists have got it all worked out who to scrounge off next!
    Shame on them!

I'm Scottish independent - I believe that Scotland would survive as a separate country since the population is similar to that of Ireland and that the economy would largely be driven through agriculture, tourism and manufacturing.

Two possibles in terms of Europe - if Scotland was a member of the EU it would unquestionably be a net beneficiary and would enjoy an initial investment period in the same way that Ireland did but the trade off would be the fishing waters which would, if Scotland was not an EU member but adopted a position similar to Norway, be a contributor to the Scottish economy.

Would Scotland be rich? Not by America/Japan standards, but since it only has a population of 5m to support, it wouldn't struggle either.

England would be able to hold it's own easily, as the London Stock Exchange ranks alongside New York + Tokyo among the worlds most important.... has companies such as BP, Shell, Cadbury's, Vodafone, HSBC, BAE Systems, Rolls Royce, British American Tobacco, Imperial Tobacco, ARM Holdings (processors like used in Nintendo DS), Wolfson Microelectronics (makes codec + things that make iPODS + PSP's produce sound), among others.

Most of the F1 teams are based in England - McLaren, Williams, Renault, Red Bull, Force India + Brawn.... and alot of the bits are too (inc. the Mercedes Engines in the back of the McLaren, Brawn + Force India cars).

Then there's the tourist industry with places such as:
North Yorkshire Moors, Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, Stonehenge, Liverpool ('cos of THE BEATLES), Blackpool Tower, Tower of London, Tower Bridge + loads of other places.

Lake District has apparently become extremely popular with Japanese tourists 'cos of it's Beatrix Potter connections.

Whitby (nr where I live) is packed with:
    - Aussies & New Zealanders (among others) for it's Captain Cook connections
    - Goths + Horror book / movie enthusiasts 'cos of it's DRACULA connections
    - History buffs 'cos of Captain Cook, the Abbey + all kinds of other stuff
    - Food enthusiasts 'cos of the Fish & Chip Shops (e.g. Magpie Cafe), Botham's Bakery + Fortune's Kippers, etc.
    - Sea Anglers because Whitby is the Yorkshire Coast's equivalent of Islamorada in Florida (except here they're mostly after Cod, rather than Tarpon + Marlin, etc... though used to be able to catch Tuna off here before WW2, inc. a British Record 851lb'er).

Then @ Goathland (about 15-20min bus ride away), it was first popular with tourists because of the NYMR preserved steam railway running through it........ then because of it's links with ITV drama "HEARTBEAT"......... now they've been joined by people coming the world over after the Station there was used in the HARRY POTTER film(s).

Then there is England's food industry......... British Beef regarded amongst the best (even French chefs prefer it), Cheeses (e.g. genuine Cheddar + Wensleydale), Ciders, Sherry & Port brands + Newcastle Brown Ale + Cadbury's Chocolate (among others).

Don't forget also England's football leagues (in particular the Premier League) is regarded as one of the best in the world with teams such as Liverpool, Scumchester United + Arsenal in it............ and the TV rights for that flogged around the world for hundreds of Millions.

As for Wales.......... well, I suppose they've got a tourist industry with all their Castles + Mountains such as Snowdonia.
And Welsh Lamb (apart from attracting loads of jokes about the Welsh having intimate relations with Sheep) is as highly regarded as New Zealand Lamb.
Also the factory where all our coins are made is currently located in Wales.
But that's probably not enough to rake in enough cash to maintain independence.

Scotland...... also has a Tourist Industry (e.g. Loch Ness, Loch Lomond, Stirling Castle, Edinburgh Castle, Forth Bridge, Salmon Rivers, Golf, etc). Then there's products such as Whiskey, Smoked Salmon, Aberdeen Sausage + Haggis, etc.
Again, probably not quite enough to maintain independence (especially now after the problems with RBS + HBOS banks).
