Where to stay in Charleroi and what should I see?

Hi! I am going soon to Charleroi in Brussels Belgium for 2nights. I have 2 short days, thats why dont wanna go to brussels, but I will stay with my friends in Charleroi, I found Leonardo hotel in good location, what can you say about it?
How expensive is in Charleroi food,drinks?
What is a must see places in charleroi?

Charleroi used to be the center of "Le pays Noir" the black country. Its main attraction are the Terrill's (artificial hills with remains of coal mines) It is as the others said not exactly the prettiest site of Belgium where there is so much to see. But it is your call.

can you not stay with your friends? its like out in the sticks and you are not seeing the real Belgium although you are near the Ardenne and that is a fab place !no where is far on the train,Namur and Dinant are lovely places to visit so is Brussels Antwerp Gent Brugge,and the coast but in two days you have not much time the Ibis hotels are great good value and very clean what ever you choose enjoy as its a lovely country the Leonardo looks good and you are right on the door for transport. http://uk.images.search.yahoo.com/search…

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money.
