I'm going to edinburgh on a stag night, where do we need to stay to be close to the bars?

I have never been to Edinburgh so i don't know where the main pubs and clubs are. I don't want to book a hotel which is far away from the bars, so could you please tell me where i need to stay. Is prince street the main place?

Princes Street is the main shopping area. the streets for bars and clubs are George Street, Queen Street, Lothian Road and the Grassmarket.
There are some hotels in the Grassmarket, an area with quite a few bars and within easy walking distance of the Pubic Triangle and Lothian Road or The Bridges, High Street, Princes Street, Rose Streeet, George Street and Queen Street.

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

Lothian road - close to clubs
George street - Few nice places including Hard rock Cafe
Leith Street - The Glasshouse has good pubs and restaurants
