Yes, Barbados is a lovely place to vacation, for people of ALL ages!
If you like the warm weather you can come around July/August...its nice and sunny and you can get a tan if you want one.
When you say travel company what do you mean? Do you mean an online place where yo can get cheap plane tickest and accomadation? If so try http://www.hotwire.com/ or http://www.expedia.com/default.asp

For accomadtion try Barbados Beach Club, a really nice and reasonable all inclusive resort.

Yes, Barbados is an ideal destination for your ward to holiday in. First of all the weather is nice and warm with a little rain. Just put on some sunblock to protect your skin. The beach is nice and she should really get as many sea baths as possible. If you are staying near a pool that is good as well.

There are many activities like horseback riding, jetskiing, mini golf as well as many underwater adventure that you can visit.
July/August is the best time to visit as the children would be on holiday so she might get a chance to meet some. Also, it is our annual festival so if you like that sort of thing she can attend the Juniour Calypso Monarch Competition, Bridgetown Market, Heritage fairs and she can even go in a band in Juniour Kadooment.

the hurricane season is from June 1-November 30. Do not let the hurricane season stop you from enjoying a good holiday. Many people including nationals come here for the summer all the time. Since I was living I have never experienced a hurricane yet.

Most people come on AA, Jet Blue, Caribbean Airways and it used to be Air Jamaica. You can just look for the cheapest flights but around that time it is hard to get a flight. It is best if you book all like now so, so that you will not be disappointed and to get the best fares. Consult a travel agent or to save money go online and do it yourself. Just compare the fares. http://www.aa.com

There are quite a lot of water sports activities on the beaches but to be honest there aren't a massive amount of kids things to do there. Day out for a drive round the island, horse racing, cricket if its on, Oistins on a Friday night. But if its just a beach holiday then i reckon its ideal.
    Thats just my opinion anyway.
