Going to Costa Rica - October - Will it be hot?

Question

i heard its rainy season but will it still be hot???? like wot kinda temperature are we talking about? and is rainy season heavy rain or like light showers??? can i wear a tshirt and shorts sorta thing???

and also is rainy season like grey skies and clouds over there? im going for 2 weeks at the end of oct.

Because Costa Rica is so close to the equator, the temperature doesn't fluctuate as much as it does elsewhere. I've always found the temp to be very comfortable, but I always bring at least one pair of long pants and a sweatshirt. I find evenings and rainy days to be a bit chilly. Bring plenty of shorts and t-shirts though, because that will be the most comfortable during day, especially if you are really active.

At that time, the planet will slightly shift up. So Costa Rica will get more exposure to the Sun as well as the south of the planet. So yeah it's always hot since it's kind of in the Center line of the Planet so the temperature has no dramatic changes in the year.

Plus, my Grandma told me it was hot when she went there on October haha.

it IS going to hot dude!because the climate is tropical and have a rainfall and sometimes gray skies.sometimes shower,sometimes heavy rain.

It depends on where your going: High country? East Coast? South West... These each have their own climate. The high country tends to be cool at night (60's) But the South West is very humid as is the East Coast. East coast is rainier too that time of year. Look up NOAA the weather web page and get the mean average for the area you want and what the rainfall is like.

Have fun, and do not carry anything expensive is plain view. The food is great.

But next time go there in DEcember ! best time its summer over there ! plus they have more activity

It depends on where you are coming from. If it's from Texas, merely warm, if Minnesota, it will be very hot.

It depends on what part you are going to. Costa Rica has 27 different climates so the weather is very different. For example, I just got back from a 2 week trip to Costa Rica. I was in Palmares mainly. The weather was perfect. 70's breezy sunny nice. We went to Volcan Arenal and passed through a part of the country where it is always raining, where it is always really cold and where it is always cloudy. I would take all kinds of clothes. Some nights I froze where I was. October is the very end of their rainy season and this year it is not raining as much as usual so depending on where you go you shouldnt have to worry about rain. We went to Puntarenas to go to the beach and it was hot like too hot. I was miserable and had to be in the water at all times. So take a little of everything and you will be fine :)

It will be beautiful! Not nearly as hot as February. Volcano Poaz will be cooler. You will have a blast and be blown away by the scenery.

Just got back from Costa Rica on 19 Sept. and the weather was great! It only rained once the whole week. If you are looking for a great tour, check out Eric Perez. He is a fantastic bilingual tour guide that is very knowledgeable Costa Rica.
