Help on reasonable, good quality hotels in London?

Question

me and a group of friends are considering going to London in January for two days one night and are all aged between 15 and 16, can anyone recommend any places for us to stay, that a) aren't hostels and b) centrally located and easy to get to from oxford street

If you are going to answer 'your parents shouldn't be allow you to do this' or the like, don't bother, if i wanted you opinion on that matter i would have put it in my question.

we only wish to stay for one night on a Saturday in January

dont stay in a travel lodge! me and my friend did about a week ago and we seriously almost boiled to death!!!

What's wrong with hostels? Try here http://www.st-christophers.co.uk/london-… you get a decent clean private room for about £15 each. Breakfast included.

Check out this site-it you can search for hotels in a certain area, in a certain price range. Then it has reviews of all of the hotels so you can read about them and hear what people say who have actually stayed in the hotel. There are also traveller photos of the hotels on the site (more reliable then hotel photos) before you book.

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
