Whoa, if you can afford the Waldorf Astoria hotel, then it's a total no-brainer, THAT'S where you want to stay, case closed!!

It is, arguably, the best hotel in all of New York City! It's where kings and queens and presidents stay when they're in town! In fact, wait a minute, I just noticed that this question was originally asked on Yahoo Answers UK, so... are you Queen Elizabeth? Come on, it's OK, you can tell us, we won't tell anyone. It is you, isn't it? I knew it! ;-)

Seriously, though, I mean, the Gramercy Park hotel is OK, sure, but the Waldorf... well, let's just say that you've got all of us regular answerers in here going, "Wow!"

I've stayed at the Waldorf. It's very expensive and overrated.

While the lobby is absolutely gorgeous, the same can't be said for the rooms. It has by far the smallest hotel room that I've ever seen. The decor in the room is best described as "grandma's parlor". And the bathroom left something to be desired.

The Waldorf is in Midtown near shopping on Fifth Avenue. Gramercy Park is a little further away from any good shopping and Times Square.

I've been able to stay in a few hotels in Manhattan. I'd look into staying at the Millennium Hilton downtown. It's almost next door to Century 21, the famed downtown shopping mecca. And it's an easy subway ride to midtown shopping and Times Square. The hotel was by far the best hotel that I've been able to stay in the city.

Wow, you must be pretty rich! I would go to the Waldorf. I went inside the lobby once and it was beautiful, and continently located.

Well, the Waldorf will be best one, since it is in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan.

    Good luck
