Austria- cheap bar? Wien district- somewhere close to Hotel Tabor or the Vienna messe. I'll be walking- thanx?

Working in Austria at the Vienna Messe and staying at the Talbot Hotel close to Wien district, i've heard about the one euro bar but it may be too far away for super cheap beer? Is there any bars near by that are cheap and still ok? Thanks very much

if u mean the city tabor hotel then ur near the schwedenplatz, there are a lot of bars

i like the dick mack's irish pub because 1/2 litre of beer/cider costs 2€ during the week (2.80€ on weekends), shots 1€/1.40€

and i dont know if theyre still doing it but some time ago i believe from 20:00 till 1 barrel is empty they served free beer

i think those three pubs (see the sourcelink) are the cheapest bars on schwedenplatz thats why we start our pregaming there

Don't know any bars in the area, but I'm pretty sure you'll have to put up with at least 3 euros per pint (and that would be cheap!), unless there is a happy hour or a student party. If you already have company and it's just about the beer prizes, buy it at the supermarket or at sausage stands if supermarkets are closed after you get off work, and find some park or other place to relax and consume it.
