Have you stayed at a great hotel in Budapest?

I've got my Jet2.com winner's ticket and now want to book a hotel in Budapest for October - all tips appreciated!

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

Thanks. I actually looked at Travel republic and have booked the Boutique Zara Hotel after researching hotels on Trip Advisor. The Hilton and Four Seasons are a bit out of my price-range as I just want to wander Budapest with my camera!

There are many really nice hotels in Budapest.
The 4 seasons has a 5 star hotel that used to be a dance hall and restaurant for the public. It is called the Gretchen Hotel just off of Chain Bridge in Pest.
My friend stayed at a nice hotel in Pest that used to be the main police station under the communists. Her husband looked mad at us when we told him that it was a place that had many tortures done inside.I guess for over $300. a night they didn't want to know the buildings past.
Check this site out for hotels.

I stayed at the Hilton that is on a hilltop overlooking the river. It is built on the foundation of a medieval monastery and is a great hotel.

Downside: It is across the river from the main city.

The best hotel in Budapest is the Gresham Palace.
    Why is it fantastic:
    -Stunning building.
-It has the most beautiful panoramas of the world on the Hungarian Chain Bridge and the Castle.
