Sunny Isles Beach in Miami?

Hi
I am looking at going to Le Meridien Sunny Isles Beach Hotel in Miami.
I just wondered if anyone could tell me what the area is like, I am aware that is a newer resort to Miami and South Beach with alot of hotels but wondered what things there is to do there, is there restaurants, bars and places to go?

i want to be sure it is what we want before we book as it is for our wedding.
Kind regards,
Stacey

I have lived in Miami for over 30 years and seen so many changes. Sunny Isles is one of the very best beach areas for beach and swimming that you can find on the Gold Coast, it´s a beautiful and very safe area also, and the hotels are also but I am not personally familiar with your hotel. Wd stay at the Golden Strand Ocean Villas there and it is super wonderful in every way.

There are excellent restaurants just across the street from the Golden Strand and in the area, many but not hot night life. For me, it would be the perfect place and area to being a new life and concentrate on getting to know each other, not on anything else. That´s my idea. Starting an exclusive relationship that can set the tone for the rest of your marriage.

By the way, the sun rises on the Gold Coast and sets in the west, on the West Coast of Florida. You can ck the location of your hotel, the Golden Strand is right across from the City Building, again, it´s beautiful too. Frank Sinarta and Ava Gardner spent their honeymoon there years ago, so it´s also famous.

There are some nice upscale bars but isn´t it nicer to have a cocktail in your room privately overlooking a beautiful ocean ? That ´s what I´d want on my honeymoon or with a special lover. Congratulations and I wish you the happiest of lives together.

sunny isles is about half hour from sobe, i personally dont like that area, it used to be small cheap motels now it is oversized condo building and a few hotels those building took the feel of the area away and made it something it is not and it feels strange. i dont like the rest. in that area either, if you go further into aventura turnberry is nice but not for a honey moon for that i would go to ritz carlton on key biscayne very romantic there. i cant tell you how much i dislike north beach and the people that live around there are rude i really miss driving by there and seeing the small motels

i would definitely recommend looking at a few other places... there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely show you great hotels at the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

Sunny Isles Beach is miles from the action at South Beach. SIB is very low-key with few restaurants and bars. Le Meridien is a classy hotel, but if you're looking for nightime action, forget SIB.

Sunny Isles beach is nice and calmer than further down in South Beach. The crime rate is below average, too..which is highly unusual for anywhere in Miami these days! Yeah you'll like it. :-)

Sunny Isles is a very "high end" area. It's beautiful with a lot of things to do but pricey.
