Recommend a hotel in hong kong?

Question

having a stopover in hong kong in december for 2 nights need to book a hotel am staying on own would like to pay £40-£70 if possible would like near main attractions

i wil strongly recommend u the Novotel Citygate. it's new & cosy. just close by the airport (aro £4 taxi fee to the hotel). and it's linked w/ an outlets mall which it's the only one in HK n attracted many people. below their website.

n the hotel also close to one main attraction of HK which u must-see. that's the Giant Buddha. u can just walk fr ur hotel to the cable car's terminal n uphill to see the buddha. @ cable car trip = 25 mins. the tix including back & forth journey. http://www.np360.com.hk/html/eng/front/i…

the novotel + citygate mall r linked w/ the Tung Chung Terminal of MTR. the fastest / cleanest train in HK. http://www.mtr.com.hk/eng/train/system_m…
u can take the MTR to everywhere u like back in the city n is quick. fr this terminal to the HK station (which located in Central / the heart of our finance ctr) wil be just 25 mins. also, in between....it wil pass by the sunny bay station which u can shift a Mickey Mouse train there n headed to the HK Disney.

novotel wil be like aro £65 per nite. chk ur location agency.

At today's tourist rate the £ is approx = HK$ 12.45. Therefore £70 will get you approx HK$ 870. The only cheap places i can remember are:-
The Salisbury YMCA----Hong Kong Island, between HKD 500-1000
The Wesley----Hong Kong Island HKD 500-1000
Shamrock----Kowloon HKD 500-1000
The Empire Hotel----Hong Kong Island HKD 500-1000

HI try the metropark hotel waterloo road , they have courtesy bus which goes to market and to riverside ,and you can walk to ladies market from there
