Whats the best area for tourists in the Philippines?

Im going on a long awaited holiday, arriving Manila on the 29 August to 19th September,i wil be going to Bangkok until 30th September,more interested in my trip to the philippines on what would be the best place to go for a tourist (not hotels) My Preference would be close to the coastline and not to busy,i plan on staying in Manila just for the night, looking on the Internet and found some interesting places,maybe share some experiences,
looking forward to hearing from you all.

I went to the Philippines, best holiday ever! I went to Boracay, which was amazing its a small island you can walk top to bottom, beautiful beaches and bars, restaurants hotels. I also stayed in Cebu, you can stay in a beautiful beach resort with loads to do, or you can stay in a hotel in the city, with lots of shops and loads to do, and Bohol, which is a sight seeing place with the smallest monkeys and loads to see but if you want somewhere not to busy do not stay in Manila i stayed there one night it was crowded , polluted and not all that nice. But have a brilliant holiday, i did!

There are several great spots to delight and bask in the sun and golden sand in the Philippines. One of my favorite is Davao's Samal Island, namely Paradise Island Resort or Pearl Farm Beach Resort. Second is Boracay, the most famous beach in the Philippines, although trailing it is Puerto Galera in Palawan. If you're more into cool weather, and just getting away, you may consider Baguio in northern Luzon. For turists in the Philippines, shopping is definately on their agenda. I cannot think of another city in the world, short of New York and Paris, that offers more shopping options than Manila! It is not the cleanest city in the world, mind you, but it does satisfy even the most discriminating shoppers.

Try to go to Boracay, Bohol, Cebu, Baguio, Pangasinan, Tagaytay, and the Rizal Shrine(The Rizal Shrine is located in Manila). I believe that Boracay, Cebu and Bohol are beaches. Baguio is considered as the Summer Capital of the Philippines. It's because people go there during summer to cool off... Tagaytay is also cold compared to other places. The Rizal Shrine is a monument of the national hero of the Philippines, Dr. Jose Rizal... Hope I helped!

You'll have a hard time coz Philippines has soOo many great beaches and places to offer... (we've got 7,107 islands for you to choose from)...

We'll you can try Boracay; Palawan (Coron or Puerto Princesa); Bohol; Cebu; Laiya in San Juan Batangas; Siargao (known for big waves - for surfers); CamSur (you can try wakeboarding; dive with the Butandings or firefly watching at night, you can also go to Caramoan Island which is the setting of Survivor France)

Personally I like Cebu and the Kasawan Falls are near by to visit.. I moved here 5 years ago from the U.S. and love it. You have a lot of really good choices. Manila is not one if you don't want crowds. Try here for some information on your options. http://hubpages.com/hub/Philippines-Trav…

In the Metro Manila area, Intramuros is a wonderful historic place telling the story of the Philippines at the turn of century under Spanish rule and the eventual arrival of America. An amazing place with lots of places around the area to tour as well.

PALAWAN...either puerto princesa, coron and el nido. EL NIDO is ze best!!!!!!! In El Nido there are a bunch of hotels, rented houses and cabanas close the coastline. And many tourists go there even though it's an 8-hour bumpy ride from Puerto Princesa! It's all worth it.

If you have never visited the Philippines before Boracay Beach is a good place to start. It's off season now and not so crowded.

go to boracay , look many suggest that place its nice you might even see manny pacquao coastal resort if u take the island hopping boat tour . mannys a world champ boxer .
